Volunteering at FN!

Office work, sales work, collecting recyclables, driving, warehouse work, marketing, fundraising, working as a training assistant ... and more!

Last year volunteers donated over 17,000 hours of their time to FN!

Have you been out of work for some time? Maybe you have been at home with your children, or had a period of unemployment for whatever reason. Volunteering is an excellent way to get back into work if that's what you'd like to do. You can build up a record of reliability and some confidence in the work environment, and you can get a reference.

Do you feel that you'd like to put something into your community? Are you interested in the environment? Furniture Now! offers you a great opportunity
to make a difference to both your community and the environment. Without volunteers we would be unable to give the high level of service that we do.

  • You would be working as part of a friendly team either in one of our furniture warehouses, on our recycling round, in the Training Centre or
    in one of our offices.

  • We pay your travel expenses and give a lunch allowance.

  • We offer training opportunities (both on- and off-site) as well as
    ongoing supervision and support.

To find out more about the different areas of work you could be involved in, have a look at our pages on furniture re-use, recycling and training.
